ABOUT
LAW
ENFORCEMENT
Many law enforcement agencies now require a two-year degree
or minimum of 60 hours of college credits for employment.
The Associate Degrees in Criminal Justice are designed to
provide students with the basic knowledge and physical
skills required for a career in law enforcement or prepare
students to transfer to a four-year college or university to
complete their course of study. The Criminal Justice program
also offers a one-year certificate, which requires 32 hours
of Criminal Justice courses intended to strengthen the
student’s ability to understand the job requirements and
functions of a law enforcement officer. Students will have
the opportunity to receive hands-on training and work with
some of the latest equipment used in law enforcement, such
as the FATS system and investigative test equipment designed
for officers to use in the field.
